Jobcenter Voucher Program

Learn how the AVGS voucher system works and how you can access our coaching services at no personal cost.

How the voucher system works

The Aktivierungs- und Vermittlungsgutschein (AVGS) is a voucher issued by the Jobcenter that covers the cost of approved coaching and training measures. As an accredited provider, NextStep Career Coaching accepts these vouchers — meaning you pay nothing out of pocket for eligible coaching services.

Official voucher

The Jobcenter issues an AVGS voucher specifying the type and duration of coaching approved for you.

Approved provider

You choose an accredited coaching provider like us. We verify your voucher and confirm your enrollment.

No cost to you

The Jobcenter pays the provider directly. You receive professional coaching without any financial burden.

Who is eligible?

You may be eligible for an AVGS voucher if you are registered as a job seeker with the Jobcenter or Agentur für Arbeit and your advisor determines that coaching would improve your employment prospects.

Registered job seekers

Individuals currently registered with the Jobcenter or employment agency.

Long-term unemployed

Individuals who have been unemployed for an extended period and need targeted support.

Career changers & re-entrants

People returning to work after a break or transitioning to a new field.

Referred by advisor

Individuals whose Jobcenter advisor recommends coaching as part of their integration plan.

Important to know

  • Eligibility is determined by your Jobcenter advisor, not by us.
  • You must obtain the voucher before starting coaching sessions.
  • The voucher specifies the number of coaching hours approved.
  • We are happy to provide information to support your voucher application.
  • Coaching can take place in person or online, depending on your voucher.
